Current Status

From its very early days, Tarpo has been used in production by Dr. Ted Donelan in his Maningrida dog program. Tarpo stores data in an internal SQLite database, so it's fortunately very hard for your data to become corrupted. Tarpo is under active development, which means that certain features will come and go, and sometimes bugs will appear, but generally all you need to do if something funny happens is restart Tarpo and the problem goes away. If you encounter any bugs, please submit them via the Issue Tracker.

Please note that Tarpo is specifically designed to run on the next-generation "Version 2" release of the Adobe AIR Runtime. This version of AIR is currently marked as a "Release Candidate" by Adobe, which is halfway between a "beta" and a "stable" release, so if your organisation has a strict policy about only running stable software (whatever that means), you should wait until Adobe releases a version of AIR that is marked as "stable". You can read more about Adobe AIR 2 here.
